ROBINA OFFICE BUILDING

ROBINA OFFICE BUILDING
GOLD COAST

ARTIST:          GOOMPI UGERABAH
CLIENT:          QIC REAL ESTATE

Creative Road worked with QIC Real Estate on an integrated site-specific artwork commission for the new office building at Robina Town Centre on the Gold Coast, as part of its transformative town centre masterplan. Located at 198 Robina Town Centre Drive, adjacent to Robina’s super regional shopping centre, the four-storey commercial development further supports the suburb’s evolution into a major employment hub for south-east Queensland. The project provided an opportunity to design an artwork in the public domain with a meaningful connection to country and the cultural heritage of Robina.

The artwork, entitled ‘Water Brings Life’ by Ngnandowal artist Goompi Ugerabah (Stephen Larcombe) represents the Kombumerri tribal region.  The artists intention is to remind us of the changing environment, highlighting the importance of water and caring for the land . Located on a prominent façade of the building designed by Architectus, the artwork adds a unique visual identity, welcoming workers and visitors to the site.
