Canberra-based artist Hannah Quinlivan produces complex line-driven sculptural forms that reveal the hidden architectures of society that contain and inflate our contemporary lives. Through a process of expanded drawing Quinlivan constructs a multidimensional universe of forms that draws the viewer through space and time. Quinlivan’ materials are chosen for their ability to impress the gestures of her hand like clay can impress a fingerprint. It is this hand-made and tactile nature that embeds the human qualities into her epic fluid forms.
